A superb cod caught by Richard Lockey just 600 yds from shore in Robin Hood’s Bay (a small bay located five miles south of Whitby and 15 miles north of Scarborough on the coast of North Yorkshire, England. Richard fished from an Orkney Long Liner, skippered by Andrew Straw. Andy who is wheel chair bound is a positive expert in fishing the Bay. He adapts the chair of of an old wheel chair and fixes it to the stern of his boat and he's off. If you also read the recent blog - 'Cod, Cod and more cod' then I think you will agree that this area of the North Yorkshire coast is a 'hotspot' for both cod and shad fishing at present.
