I recently went over to Bedford to Manor Farm Fishery and Tackle shop and spent the day doing a bait display in their Tackle Shop. I met a number of people and we discussed Gulp Baits and applications and had a really good day. It is a really well stocked Tackle Shop with very helpful staff and to compliment it this year they have added their new display Bivvy Barn, there is everything there you could possibly want with a good stock of our Berkley Gulp Bait and als...

September and into October has been a busy time for me running two trips to Crystal Waters, France. Prior to the first trip in September the lake had been on fire with record breaking fish returns in numbers and size. One week returning a staggering 199 fish between ten anglers and the week before producing 21 different 40s from the 10 anglers fishing. Every customer landed at least one 40. So the pressure was on when the rotas turned up for my fish. Fishing mainly nights onl...

Just a quick 24 hour session produced some lovely fish!!! Once again at Wintons Fishery (mallard lake). I positioned myself in a double swim so I had a few options to fish at. Seeing there was others also on the lake. With an island to my right I had to put bait up close to it as the fish here patrol the islands. With my other rod I fished in open water. I fished Pineapple Fever and Irish cream on a kd rig with 2 16mm boilies. The pressure was really low and I knew this aw...

I decide to fish a few hours at "the valley", a gravel pit in my fishing club. I have not been there for several months. There is a good head of carp but nobody is sure how many or what size. I arrive to a strong southerly breeze and rain across the lake. Good carp weather in my book. There is only one other angler here today and he wanders over to say hello. He is fishing two rods and has had a few small carp. I pick my fishing spot near some lily pads and fire out a c...
